A special program to commemorate the Eighth anniversary of Bhagawan’s Mahasamadhi, a Regional “Sathya Sai Aradhana Mahotsavam” will be held on April 21, 2019.
The Special program includes:
- Inspiring Bhajans by Young Adults
- Sharing of Swami’s love & his message by Ven Virah
- Ven Virah is the National Young Adult Coordinator for Canada and is also an engaging speaker who has conducted numerous workshops and is known for his energetic and inspiring talks.
- Presentation by Sai Spiritual Education Students
- Maha Prasad

Guest Speaker: Dr. Sunder Iyer
Speaker Intro:
Dr. Iyer was in the first group of students to join Swami’s Institute of Higher Learning in Puttaparthi in 1979, and he was instrumental in starting the now renowned sports meet that is held every year in January. As with all students of those times, he had innumerable occasions to be close to Swami and to learn from His direct divine presence. He had the special privilege of being one of Swami’s personal attendants for several years during his student days. His passion was and is practicing and teaching yoga, and he was the only student to receive a gold medal for yoga from the Divine Hands during the first convocation of the Sai University. After completing a Bachelors’s degree in Commerce and a doctorate degree in Banking and Finance, he taught in Swami’s university until 1994. Dr. Iyer came to the U.S. in 2000 on Christmas day with his wife Maya, and they are currently residing in Cleveland, Ohio. He travels the country speaking at Sai retreats and conducting yoga weekend camps and workshops. We are blessed by Swami to have Dr. Iyer as a guest speaker at our conference this year. Since the end of 2011, a few months after Swami attained Mahasamadhi, Sunder Iyer gave his job and have dedicated his life completely to spreading Sanathana Dharma, Vedanta, and Yoga.
