Dr. Joseph Phaneuf, a recently retired dermatologist, helped start the Ashland Free Medical Clinic in San Lorenzo. He is the Chairman of the USA Medical Committee, and serves as Regional Medical Director for Region 7.
He is also a US National Young Adult Advisor, and a committee member and faculty for the Sathya Sai International Leadership Program for Young Adults. “Dr. Joe” has been guided by the teachings of Sathya Sai Baba since 1986, when he first had the good fortune to meet and speak with our Dearest Swami. Sathya Sai’s teachings have guided and inspired him to be a more compassionate and loving physician and focus on becoming a good human being. He has spoken around the world about Swami’s life, message, and all of the work that has been inspired by Sathya Sai Baba’s teachings.
