Service Description When / How Often & Where Service Opportunities Volunteers Needed People Served
Feeding The Hungry In Santa Ana: Hot breakfast is served to homeless and emotionally challenged brothers and sisters. The Menu includes Scrambled tofu, wheat pancakes, oatmeal, veggie burrito, fruits, milk and orange juice. Every Saturday 7:00 – 9:30 am at the Mental Health Association (MHA), 2416 S Main St, Santa Ana, CA 92707. Volunteers donate Food items, juice and assist in preparing food. Every 3rd and 4th Saturday 7:00 – 10:00 am at Southwest Community Center, 1601 West 2nd Street, Santa Ana, CA 92703. Volunteers donate food items and juice and assist in preparing food. Sandwich Projects: Sandwiches are prepared and delivered to needy families in Santa Ana every other Saturday of the month. The sandwiches are packed at MHA facility and then it is delivered to Regina and Joseph House. Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich, Fruit, Juice and Granola Bars. Every other Saturday 7:00 – 10:00 am at Mental Health Association (MHA), 2416 S Main St, Santa Ana, CA 92707. Volunteers donate Food items and juice and assist in Making sandwiches and packing. Meals on the wheels: Volunteers prepare Mexican food for 250 homeless people and deliver to 7 homeless shelters in Santa Ana. On special occasions like Maha Samadhi, Guru Purnima and Swami’s birthday volunteers prepare food for 550 people and deliver to 11 homeless shelters in Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, Placentia, Laguna Hills, Laguna Beach and Long Beach. The menu includes Mexican salad, Spanish rice, beans, fajita, quesadillas, cut fruit, and juice.
